Although classroom training is valuable, we find that most technicians learn best in the field with real-life examples and practice.

I had the opportunity to shadow Tyson and Jeremiah at Twist and Turn Dryer Vent for two days, and I can confidently say they set the standard for professionalism, integrity, and mentorship in this industry.

From the start, Jeremiah was incredibly intentional about teaching. He slowed jobs down so I could understand each step, walked me through various methods, and took the time to explain not just what he was doing, but why. There was no rushing and no hesitation to share real-world knowledge, something that is invaluable for anyone looking to start a dryer vent business the right way.

What impressed me most was their integrity with customers. During one job, a customer had purchased a premium service, and Jeremiah genuinely felt it wasn’t necessary. Instead of upselling, he downgraded her service and saved her money. That spoke volumes about the values behind the company and the example they set for anyone learning from them.

Beyond the technical side, Tyson and Jeremiah demonstrated pride in their work at every level—from thorough cleanings to details as small as cleaning the floors after each job. If you’re serious about learning this trade, building a business with strong ethics, and seeing how a successful dryer vent company truly operates day to day, shadowing Twist and Turn Dryer Vent is absolutely worth it.

I have been in the HVAC industry for the past 28 years and recently decided to add dryer vent cleaning. I have installed hundreds of dryer vents and have never given much thought to the importance of installing them in a particular manner. After all, it is a simple dryer vent compared to what we deal with in HVAC. Nevertheless, after finding out that our state does not require a license as it does for an HVAC, I decided to become a CSIA-certified dryer exhaust technician to understand the field better as I enter it.
I completed the CSIA course and gained a tremendous amount of information on the theory behind the operation of dryer appliances and the exhaust system. This classroom instruction was good, but I will tell you unequivocally that the best investment I have made in myself and my company was the two-day ride-along with Twist and Turn.

Jeremiah and Tyson opened my eyes to a whole new world of how to properly service the system in a highly efficient manner while giving the customer the best service money can buy. I can guarantee you it is worth three times the price they are charging, if nothing else, due to the sure amount of frustration and countless hours it will save you by learning the tricks of the trade and the confidence it gives you knowing how to properly install a system to code
from a couple of true professionals.

Sincerely,
An old dog still learning new tricks.
