In 2016 Jeremiah and Megan Harris started Twist and Turn Dryer Vent Cleaning with a vision of challenging the standard for the dryer vent cleaning industry.
Over his 20 years of experience in the industry sweeping chimneys, cleaning air ducts and cleaning dryer vents, Jeremiah began to notice something.
Nobody cleaned out dryers and nobody specialized in dryer vent cleaning.
Although many companies cleaned dryer vents, they only did it as an additional service and they only ever cleaned out the portion of the dryer vent inside of the wall, leaving the connection hose and the dryer itself often times still full of lint. This was the beginning of the idea to offer full service dryer vent cleaning by cleaning out the dryer vent, connection hose and dryer instead of just the dryer vent companies.

In general cleaning your dryer vent annually is the best option for safety and maximum dryer performance. However not every dryer vent is the same and not everyone does the same amount of laundry. Some dryer vents may only need to be cleaned every 2-3 years or 3-4 years. There are many factors that will lead to lint accumulation inside the dryer vent and dryer that will require annual or semi-annual cleaning.
How many pets are in the home and if they shed. How many loads of laundry are done each week. Length of the dryer vent. Number of turns in the dryer vent. Equivalent length of the dryer vent (this is how far the dryer actually has to push air). Type of dryer. Etc.
One benefit of scheduling a full service cleaning appointment is that it includes a report on the dryer vent system and recommendation on how frequently it should be cleaned.
